Unconventional ways Georgie Stevenson invests in her future self

Feb 06, 2024

Are you someone who has big goals and dreams?

Then, you are going to have to get comfortable with investing in your future self. It can feel scary and daunting but my love, you are always your safest investment.

Something I am very passionate about is investing in my future self - this can be anything from getting a weekly massage to paying $60k for a business coach.

What I’ve noticed has made the biggest difference for me is some of the more unconventional ways I have invested in myself.

I thought I would share a few of my favourites:

  • Exercise that makes me feel good: I’ve been experimenting with so many different forms of exercise at the moment. I’m currently loving a mix of pilates, strength and hot yoga. I love not having a set in stone exercise routine and just focusing on moving my body in ways that make me feel good. One of my themes for this year is pleasure so if I’m not excited to do it - then it’s a no.

  • Being careful who and where I spend my time: The quote, “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with” comes to mind with this one. If you are not happy with that average it might be time to make a shift. Remember, you don’t always have to be physically spending time with that person - when I first got into self development I “spent time” with people by listening to podcasts or watching youtube.

  • Improving my mindset: I love working with people who can help me expand myself in all areas of my life. I’ve worked with fitness coaches, business coaches, therapists and most recently a mind body coach. Surrounding myself with experts allows me to constantly be challenged and pushed out of my comfort zone. I also love investing my time into podcasts and content  that inspire me and motivate me.

  • Remember, investing in yourself doesn’t always have to look like buying a car, a house or going to university (full disclaimer I have also done all of these) but there are so many different things you can do to expand yourself and achieve your full potential.

Recently on the Rise & Conquer podcast, Coop & I did an episode about all of the ways we invest in ourselves and shared some reflections we’ve had from each. If you’d like to hear more you can listen to that episode here.

Naked Harvest are currently giving away $10,000 to one lucky person to help them create their very own ‘Future You Fund’, all you have to do to win is spend $50 online and share your investment strategy via the entry form. This could be anything from booking a retreat, hiring a coach to splurging on a boujie gym membership - you can get all the info here. Your last chance to enter is the 18th February with the lucky winner drawn on the 20th February.

    Love always,
    G xx
