The Power of Superfoods: What They Are & Why You Need Them
There is a lot of conversation around “superfoods” and whether they actually “work.” While the term superfood was created from a marketing perspective, there are certain foods that can be described as super, as they are foods that contain significantly higher quantities of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other health and mood boosting properties. Some are also highly favourable due to their anti-aging effects or can fight off oxidative stress in our bodies. Super, right?
I am sure you have heard of many superfoods such as broccoli, blueberries, Acai, however there are some other superfoods known to be used for thousands of years in various cultures and grown in exotic locations, such as the rainforests of the Amazon or even used by Peruvian warriors.
Let me help break it down for you! You can find some of the below superfoods in selected Naked Harvest products - and this is so beneficial for us to ensure we are nourishing our bodies as best as we can, giving our bodies the best shot to perform and function at its best and of course, reap all their incredible benefits.

Cacao has 40x antioxidants of blueberries, high in iron and jam packed with magnesium (magnesium is so beneficial for a healthy heart, our brains and overall cognitive health).
Cacao is also a natural mood booster (ever wondered why you feel so good after eating some chocolate?) Cacao is a great source of four of our scientifically “happy” hormones: serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine and phenylethylamine. These neurotransmitters are usually associated with warm fuzzy feelings, falling in love, happiness - they can help alleviate depression.

LEMON BALM EXTRACT
I am not usually biased, but in this instance, I cannot favour lemon balm more! It is said Lemon Balm was prescribed by doctors since the Middle Ages, as a natural remedy to improve sleep, reduce anxiety, treat wounds and promote longevity.
Its calming effects can also help with insomnia and sleep difficulties. It is very relaxing, which is why it's included in Naked Harvest's Moon Mylk.
Lemon Balm is home to southern parts of Europe, but is now quite accessible all around the world. It is part of the mint family and is also popular in the Middle East, often referred to as inducing “joy and happiness.” It is also full of antibacterial, antimicrobial agents, meaning it can help fight off infections, but also support the digestive system, weakened immune system and brain fog.
